Late Pick Up Policy

The Daycare closes at 5:45 pm. Please ensure that you are ready to leave the daycare by then.

Please call if you will be later than 5:45 pm. Any late pick up between 5:45 and 6 p.m. will be subject to a fine of $20.00, with an additional fine of $1.00 per minute thereafter, as outlined in our Parent Agreement. Please note that each time you receive a late fine, the fine increases by $20.00.(i.e. first fine = $20.00, second fine = $40.00, third fine =$60.00 etc)

These are the steps we take when a child has not been picked up by 5:45 pm:

If we have not had contact with the person responsible for picking up, we call them or one of the emergency contacts to come immediately.

If the child will be picked up later than 6:15 pm, the on duty staff will deliver the child to an emergency on-call parent’s home. This daycare parent volunteered to care for the child until the parent arrives. They live within walking distance of the daycare. A note will be left on the door of the daycare with the address of the on-call parent. Please be prepared to provide identification to the on-call parent if they have not met you before.

If we cannot contact anyone responsible for the child, we are obligated to phone Social Services.

Any late fees must be paid within 7 days of the date the fine is issued.
